GFW Juniors Concert and Come & Try Sessions
Location: Hillhead Library
Time: 2:00 PM
Come and listen to hear how the GFW Juniors have fared over the last year at their End of Term concert. The GFW has over 40 students learning in five levels of fiddle and two levels of guitar. The event is free and followed by a Come & Try Session in Fiddle, Whistle, Bodhran and Guitar. Open to all ages.

GFW invite you to come along and celebrate the start of the summer holidays and the end of term with a ceilidh held during the West End Festival on Saturday, 20 June, at the Glasgow University Union on University Avenue. All families, friends and beyond are welcome to come along, and bring your instrument of choice if you dare to join in! Open bar and snacks available. About Us
GFW's aims are:
- To promote an understanding and appreciation of Scottish traditional music.
- To provide opportunities for learning to play and sing Scottish traditional music, with an emphasis on learning to play by ear.
- To create a community of people with a common interest in Scottish traditional music.
- To forge links with other organisations who have similar interests. GFW is a registered charity, and has reconstituted as a company limited by guarantee. All activity is coordinated by a voluntary committee of members with a part time administrator .
