This Hybrid class will be in Springburn campus with a zoom link for those who cannot make it to Glasgow Kelvin College.
Our Beginners class will teach correct posture, technique, fingering and bellows control to get you started playing tunes.
Due to large numbers of new Accordion students, we have split this class to maintain a reasonable student/tutor ratio
The Hybrid scope will cover a skill range from Beginners to Improvers
Please note Absolute Beginners (never played Accordion) should join in August (Term 1) or February (Term 3)

Alan will tutor Accordion Improvers through a range of tunes, both traditional and continental, by teaching correct posture, technique, fingering, bellows control and guiding them in the art of compiling sets of tunes which work well together

John will take improvers and more experienced players alike through a range of tunes, both traditional and continental, guiding them in the art of compiling sets of tunes which work well together, giving them the confidence to play for dancing and entertainment.
7 classes per term from 7:15 to 9pm with a half time break
Class 2 fees are for the same person learning more than one instrument in the same term. e.g. Monday Whistle, Wednesday Fiddle
Concession fee applies to those in receipt of state pension: students on a recognised full-time education course: and those in receipt of certain state benefits such as Jobseeker’s allowance or Disability Living allowance.
Concession 2 fee, if you qualify for a concession, and take 2 classes in the same term e.g. Monday Whistle, Wednesday Fiddle
Monday / Wednesday early evening 45 minute classes – 6:15-7pm
Remain a GFW Member for member info, although not currently taking a class
